<p class="MsoNormal">What action does the FIELD take to produce this &#8220;limit&#8221;.&nbsp; What does that field DO to limit the transferred data.&nbsp; I would say the field doesn&#8217;t do anything.<o:p></o:p></p>

<p class="MsoNormal">I think, it is actually the SIZE of the field that causes the limit of the transferred data to be 255 bytes.&nbsp; AND, BTW &#8211; 0 CANNOT be 256 &#8211; because this sentence specifically says the limit is 255, therefore 256 isn&#8217;t even POSSIBLE.&nbsp; But
 it is the value in the field that limits it to anything specific from 1 to 255.&nbsp; But, it is the size of the field (8 bits) that limits the data transfer to the maximum of 255.<o:p></o:p></p>
