Reading 10-073r0 which added the "Extended logical unit addressing
method" to this list, and looking back at 05-376r5 which added the new
type that 10-073 is referencing, there is a difference.
05-376r5 added the "Extended flat space addressing".
10-073r0 claims to want to add the type created by 05-376r5 into the
select report 00h of REPORT LUNS.
However, the text in 10-073r0 actually adds MORE formats than it claims
to be adding. If it added only what it claimed, then the new text in
select report 00h of REPORT LUNS would have said:
d) extended flat space addressing method.
Extended logical unit addressing method includes:
a) Well Known logical Unit numbers
b) Extended flat space addressing
c) FC-SB-4 addresses
d) Logical unit not specified address
My guess would be that 10-073r0 intended to add just b) from this list
into the select report 00h of REPORT LUNS, and not everything in that
list.

But W-LUN used the Extended logical unit addressing method (i.e., d) for
SELECT REPORT field set to 00h)?

What is the difference between the SELECT REPORT field set to 00h and
02h for the REPORT LUNS command? To me 00h seems to include all defined
addressing methods, or is that the answer, that 02h includes vendor
specific addressing formats.
Thanks
Kevin
P.S. - Ralph, SPC-4r30 - Table 235 - Code 00h a) of a)b),c) has a comma
instead of a semi-colon.
