Hi Atishay,
"a revised proposal from Microsoft and Intel" and "changes we (Microsoft and
Intel) would like to see in the spec" may be same.
Please feel free to send your opinion to Fuji reflector. I think members have
an
interest in it.
By the way, could you (Microsoft and Intel) provide Webex or similar system
for
this topic?
Best regards,
Keiji Katata

Hello Katata-san,
I want to thank you for including Zero Power ODD discussion for next MtFuji
meeting. Your suggestion is right. Let us discuss it in January and we could
vote in February. Microsoft would be more than happy to host February meeting
on
Campus.
As we discussed in previous meeting, I would be happy to assist you in
revising
MtFuji spec w.r.t. Zero Power ODD. In addition to our discussion, I recently
had
a discussion with Intel regarding Zero Power ODD and Intel would be happy to
assist Microsoft in coming up with revised Zero Power ODD spec.
I want to ask what would MtFuji committee prefer? We have couple of options.
One
way would be that we (Microsoft and Intel) come up with a revised proposal
and
we discuss it in January. Another way could be that we send you our requests
(changes we would like to see in the spec) and you revise the proposal for
discussion in January.
Let us know what you think.
Thank you very much.
Best Regards,
Atishay

Hi Atishay,
We will discuss ZPODD in January meeting. But we may not have a final vote.
This
is an intention of members "will be discuss in Feb meeting".
Usually major software venders might not attend Fuji meeting held in Japan.
We
might not rush so much.
Best regards,
Keiji Katata

Hello Katata-san,
I see that meeting notes suggest that ZPODD Drive Firmware Requirements shall
be
discussed in Feb. I thought it was going to be discussed in next MtFuji
meeting
in Jan. Is my understanding wrong? In my opinion, the modification to Zero
Power
ODD section should be reviewed and approved as soon as possible.
I will be happy to help you in all possible ways. I would be happy to suggest
what Microsoft thinks should be covered in the spec.
Thanks,
Atishay
