Katata-san is correct about this. There are a number of SPC3/4
requirements with which ATAPI drives typically do not comply. This is
permitted when the INQUIRY version number is set to zero.
I have been notified that SPC-3/4 requires that compliant devices
support the REPORT LUNS command. It is most useless and unsupported on
ATAPI and USB drives. We decided that I need to clarify the legal way to
permit non-compliance with SPC-3/4. Addiitonally, I think that it is
important that such drives include at least an MMC version descriptor.
