In fulfilment of my action item from SMC-3 Working Group
14Jan08-01 Kevin Butt report to Geoff when IBM libraries set NOT READY TO
READY CHANGE, MEDIUM MAY HAVE CHANGED sense code
IBM sends Unit Attention, NOT READY TO READY CHANGE, MEDIUM MAY HAVE
CHANGED (i.e., 6/2800h), under the following conditions:
When a cartridge's logical library assignment changes (via user assignment
or cartridge export )
When a user assigns a new volser to a cartridge (typically when the volser
is blank or unreadable)
When the library does a move that does not originate at the host (local
move from UI)
all Not Ready to Ready transitions (e.g., power-on reset, library control
system reset, door closure, data transfer device reset when that DTD is
being used as the SCSI port (e.g, DTD LUN 1 is being used as ADC local SMC
device server))
Thanks,
