Hi Paul and Paul,
=20
As you know I've been looking into a proposal to provide the interface
for management of data encryption on the medium in a removable medium
device. I had hoped to bring a proposal with me to the November T10
meetings. However the subject has proven too complex for that =
schedule.
=20
Since Quantum expressed interest in this issue in September, and kindly
agreed to wait for HP's proposal, I wanted to let you know our degree =
of
progress. We are actively working on this issue with Chris Williams
|from our Marlboro office devoted to it full-time. He's assured me that
we will have a proposal ready for the January cycle. Chris will attend
the November SSC-3 working group, so you can feed him your
ideas/concerns if you so wish.
