Kevin,
=20
I would expect that you receive only an 8-byte Element status data, =
with
the "first element address reported" field set to the lowest defined
element address in the media changer, followed by six zeroes. This is
based on requesting number of elements =3D 0.

Subject: SMC WG: RES Question when # elements=3D0

I have a question for the SMC Working group related to Read Element
Status.=20
If I issue a RES to a media changer with=20
ELEMENT TYPE CODE =3D 0,=20
STARTING ELEMENT ADDRESS =3D 0,=20
NUMBER OF ELEMENTS =3D 0, and=20
ALLOCATION LENGTH =3D 0xFF=20
what should I expect to be returned?=20

I am concerned about what the fields in the Table 14 - Element status
data should be set to, as well as the fields in Table 15 - Element
status page if any element status pages are returned. I am pretty sure
that no Element descriptors will be returned.=20

Thanks,=20
