Hi Wasim,
You can start writing from NWA (Next Writable Address) on DVD-R/+R. You can
stop writing at any sector boundary. If BUFE of Write parameter mode page
is set to 1 for -R, you can restart writing at the next sector that you
stopped writing. In case of +R, BUFE bit setting has no meaning, you can
always do so.
When Sync Cache worked, NWA will move to the first sector of some ECC block
due to linking. This is different with CD-R.
Best regards,

Dear All,
When writing a DVD in variable packet writing mode, is it necessary to
align all writes to 16 block boundary? Could I write any varibale size
packet such that linking between packets spans 16 block boundary?

With kind regards,
Wasim Sabir
