Hi Michael,

Your (HP's) own 6x40 and 6x24 DAT autoloaders support software magazine 
unloading.

	Enhanced Load/Unload (0x1B), byte 5, bit 7.

Dennis, this might be a solution for you as well.  Use a bit in the 
unload command to specify magazine unload.
