Sir,
All standards descriptions of this mechanism describe the behaviour in
the same way: the value should increase from 0000h up to 0FFFFh. Upon
actual completion, SKSV should be cleared to zero. Although it is not
required, we typically also see the Progress value also set to zero.

I hope here is the right forum to ask this :
About MMC4 or SFF8090, the Progress indication of the
Request Sense command says : "percent complete indication".
The matter is that, from the same brand (Pioneer) on two DVD
recorder models (A03 / A05), I get an opposite 16bits value.
One goes from 0 to 65535 when the other decreases.
Is there any standardized description for finding the sense of
the progress indication ?
