Thanks for listening, thanks for asking.

I slowly came to believe I understood the new questions only after walking myself thru the following Three part answer:

1) I do think we should enforce an editorial policy of spelling the word "timeout" in the same way everywhere, since I believe none of my free .pdf viewers can be asked to search for multiple spellings simultaneously. I don't much care whether the blessed spelling is "timeout" or "time-out" or "time out" or whatever. I am as yet too ignorant to know where I would find such a policy documented. I do actually see multiple spellings appear in the "7.8 Time-out and Protect Page (Page Code 1Dh)" of mmc4r02.pdf, even within single sentences.

2) To my ignorant eye, the link to the time-out model remains broken. Specifically in mmc4r02.pdf I see:

"See the Time-out model for more information on the Group 1 & 2 Minimum Time-out fields and Group
3 Time out field."

What I don't know how to do is to find "the Time-out model". In mmc4r01g.pdf I am utterly lost. In mmc4r02.pdf I presume we mean "4.9 Timeouts" of "4 Multi-Media Device Models".

Maybe by now "broken" is too strong a word. Maybe only the mmc4r01g link was broken, and the mmc4r02 link is "weak". A quick glance now shows me we do often point a use of the word "see" to something specific, for example "See Table 588" or "(see 13.18.4, on page 352)" or .... I like that policy.

3) I personally have not reviewed mmc4*.pdf in detail, so I have no idea how few/ how many other typographical issues may abound.

Thanks again for clueing me in, Pat LaVarre

Hi Pat,
You can see "4.9 Timeouts" section instead of "Time-out".
It is editorial mistake. Do you find others?
If you so, let MMC WG know.

Thanks. There was no link. Within the next 2-3 weeks, Rev 2A will have the link.

Among other words, I see:
http://www.t10.org/scsi-3.htm
ftp://ftp.t10.org/t10/drafts/mmc4/mmc4r02.pdf
"7.8 Time-out and Protect Page (Page Code 1Dh)"
...
"See the Time-out model"

At least in my ignorance, that link appears broken in ANSI MMC, though the same text works fine in:
http://www.bswd.com/cornucop.htm
ftp://ftp.avc-pioneer.com/Mtfuji5/Spec/Fuji5r148.pdf
I'm curious to know if that link appears broken to the less ignorant, hence this post of mine.
