In the latest rev. of SPC-3, the first sentence of clause 8.6.4.1 says that
the Device Identification VPD page is to retrieve identifiers for the
logical unit. However, table 269 still shows that association 0h is for
either a physical or logical device. The table would seem to justify, for
example, all of the LUs in a multi-LU Fibre Channel target reporting the
target's Port_Name in an identifier whose association is 0h.

There seems to be no requirement that the LU Names in a multi-LU target be
unique. Is this correct, or do we need to expand the use of the Device
Identification page to report a target name?

thanks,
