The ftp server machine (Sun unix box) lists the date as:
-rw-rw-r-- 1 lohmeyer t10 3160874 Nov 1 16:19 sas-r02c.pdf
On unix machines, the year is not included if the file date is less than 6 months old. When the file becomes 6 months old, the time is not included and the year is included. Example follows:
-rw-rw-r-- 1 lohmeyer t10 3039692 May 2 2002 spi4r10.pdf
So the 2001 year is most likely an artifact of whatever ftp client you are using.
