In 02-157r0 (SAS proposed working draft) what do the following words in the
description of the COMMAND ID field in clause 8.2.1 mean:
" ... more than one command or task management requests should not be
outstanding except in an error situation"
does "outstanding" mean command frame not ACKed or NAKed?
does this mean the COMMAND ID field is only used when command frames have
not been ACKed or NAKed (ie. command retries)? In that case why does not
clause "8.2.3.1 COMMAND retires" talk about this field?
if this is true, what does "across any two sequential commands" mean in the
same paragraph?
pls. explain.
thanx,
\Sriram\
