SPC-3 rev. 5 section 5.5.3.4 indicates that if the device server has
insufficient resources to complete the registration action then a check
condition should be returned with a SK of ILLEGAL REQUEST and an asc of
INSUFFICIENT REGISTRATION RESOURCES. Section 7.12.1 indicates that the
same error code should be returned for any PR OUT command that fails,
not just a registration action.
In reading through the list of error codes I see that INSUFFICIENT
RESERVATION RESOURCES is listed next to INSUFFICIENT REGISTRATION
RESOURCES but a quick search using Adobe Acrobat Reader showed that the
error code wasn't specified anywhere in SPC-3. Is the error code
specified in 7.12.1 correct or is it a typo?
Best regards,
David Ulrich
