Howdy All,
This is a query to determine which flavors of write protection(s) are
actually being used (or useful).
Software Write Protect - controlled from the Control mode page (SPC-3) or
the SWP bit in the Device Configuration mode page.
Associated Write Protect - controlled by the ASOCWP bit in the Device
Configuration mode page.
Persistent Write Protect - controlled by the PERSWP bit in the Device
Configuration mode page.
Permanent Write Protect - controlled by the PRMWP bit in the Device
Configuration mode page.
I believe Software, Persistent, and Permanent Write Protect provide some
use, but Associated is suspect.
Note: Permanent requires vendor specific behavior to disable.
