Bare-bones isochronous

In line with discussions at the last SBP-3 working group meeting in
Cupertino, I have published ftp://ftp.t10.org/t10/document.01/01-287r0.pdf.
It is an examination of possible, radical simplifications to the
isochronous model that pushes most of the work onto the command sets---but
still retains opportunities to reuse existing command sets (e.g., DVD,
printers or scanners) with a "tailgate" in cases where isochronous data
transfer is perceived to offer advantages over asynchronous data transfer.
Discussion will be on the agenda for the October 3 - 4 meeting.

Peter Johansson
