Howdy All,

At the last SSC-2 working group meeting the subject of obsoleting the CAP
bit in the Device Configuration page (10h) was discussed. The preferred
method to change partitions is to use the LOCATE command. Obsoleting the CAP
bit will eliminate the complexity of MODE SELECT behavior for changing
partitions when applied to the Explicit Address model. Please investigate
and respond if you have any objections to obsoleting the CAP bit in SSC-2.

Thanks,

David Peterson
