The Status of Commands Obsoleted in MMC2

Dear all,

I have a question about the REPAIR TRAC that is obsoleted in MMC2.
If this command will removed in MMC3, how to revert from unwritable state 
for new track ?  Is writer software automatically detect this state and 
issue close track/session ? Could you please show me how to get rewritable 
again ?
