Rob, Ralph,
I do not agree. The problem is that SAM-2 (and maybe SAM) has taken a list
of conditions that cause a unit attention (e.g., power on, reset, bus
device reset message) and added in the words ASC/ASCQ. The actual ASC/ASCQ
for a specific unit attention is defined were a particular unit attention
is described. Go look at the first sentence in SCSI-2 in section 7.9 and
you will see what I mean.
Bye for now,

SAM-2 section 5.4 item b lists three additional sense codes:
TARGET RESET
POWER ON
RESET
which are not listed with those names in SPC-2.
Ralph Weber thinks they mean:
29h/03h BUS DEVICE RESET FUNCTION OCCURRED
29h/01h POWER ON OCCURRED
29h/00h POWER ON, RESET, OR BUS DEVICE RESET OCCURRED
respectively.
Does anyone disagree?
