T11 met on October 9, 1997 with 92 people in attendance. EMC, Tandem
Computer, and the U.S. Navy lost membership because of a lack of attendance
at T11 Plenary meetings. Clariion, Hitachi Cable, McData and VLSI
Technology were added as new member organizations. This brings the
membership of T11 to 84 organizations. The total attendance at the T11
meeting week was 129 people.

It was reported that NCITS Letter Ballots on recommendations to withdraw

FC-L project proposals because of a lack of committed editing resources.

Three new project proposals were worked on with a view to their being able
to be approved at the December T11 Plenary. These were:

1998 and beyond (including new ones in excess of 1.0625 Gbits/s)
