NCITS Announces the Public Comment Period for NCITS 306:199x,
      Information Technology - SCSI-3 Block Commands (SBC) 

Washington D.C., March 1997 - NCITS (National Committee for Information
Technology Standards) is announcing the public comment period for NCITS
306:199x. Development of this draft standard is being done in Technical
Committee T10, Lowel Level Interface. 

The public review extends from March 28, 1997 to May 27, 1997 

This standard defines the command set extensions to facilitate operation of
SCSI block devices. The clause(s) of this standard pertaining to the SCSI
block device class, implemented in conjunction with the applicable clauses of
the SCSI-3 Primary Commands, fully specify the standard command set for
SCSI block devices.
