Greetings;

In the Read Defect Data command, there is a statement that, "The defect
descriptors may or may not be in ascending order". Does this mean that
the data can appear in apparently random order? Or do I have to send it
in either ascending or descending order? What is that order based upon?
 Cylinder, head, sector (and in which order)?

Also, does anyone know of system software that would be confused by out
of order data being returned?

Thanks,
Jeff Williams
