X3 Announces the Public Comment Period of X3.272:199x, Fibre Channel - 
Arbitrated Loop (FC-AL)

Washington, D.C. , December 23, 1994 -- Accredited Standards Committee 
X3, Information Technology is announcing the public comment period of 
X3.272:199x.

The comment period extends from January 20, 1995 through March 21, 
1995.

This draft standard specifies signaling interface enhancements to the 
signaling protocol of ANSI X3.230:1994 (FC-PH), to support communication 
among two or more Ports without using the Fabric topology.

A call for patents and pertinent issues (copyrights, trademarks) is now 
being issued by the X3 Secretariat.
