X3T9.2/89-105 August 15, 1989 Andy Hospodor I/O XEL Inc. 1556 Halford Avenue Suite 316 Santa Clara, CA 95051 Dear Andy, I appreciate your invitation for X3T9.2 members to participate in the X3B7.1 meeting August 21-23 in Phoenix. I will announce it at our August 21-22 meeting, but due to the short notice and overlap I do not expect many members will be able to attend. Perhaps more will be able to attend your October '89 and February '90 meetings. X3B7.1 members are also cordially invited to attend our upcoming meetings. For more information, they can contact me at (316) 636-8703. Date Location Meeting -------------------- -------------------------- ------------------ August 21-22, 1989 Colorado Springs, CO X3T9.2 Plenary September 6-7, 1989 Oklahoma City, OK SCSI Working Group October 16-17, 1989 Research Triangle Park, NC X3T9.2 Plenary October 30-31, 1989 Irvine SCSI Working Group December 4-5, 1989 San Diego, CA X3T9.2 Plenary February 19-20, 1990 Austin, TX X3T9.2 Plenary In your August 9 letter (X3T9.2/89-104) you quote two statements from the minutes of June X3T9.2 meeting and the July working group meeting which you say are erroneous. I am sorry if these statements offended you, but I believe the minutes accurately reflect the statements made in these meetings. It is not possible for the secretary to verify the accuracy of everything that is said in the meeting. It would seem you favor omitting these potentially offensive statements. But then you would not be given an opportunity to rebut them. This could result in a greater harm by letting the statements stand unchallenged. I will read and distribute your letter to X3T9.2. I have enclosed a draft copy of the IEEE Standard for a Testability Bus, IEEE Std 1149-1989/D8. Best Regards, John B. Lohmeyer cc: Dal Allan Chairman X3T9.2 Bill Spence
