4. Old Business

4.1 SAT: Remaining Work Items (04-391r3) [Sheffield]

Due to the lack of time, Bob Sheffield did not review the status of work items
remaining in SAT (04-391r3).

4.2 SAT REQUEST SENSE Correction Proposal (05-109r0) [Overby]

Mark Overby stated that the issues about which he was concerned that were
addressed by his proposal had now mostly been addressed in the latest revision
of the SAT draft. This led to a brief review of the latest SAT draft during
which some modifications were made to the draft that addressed Mark's issues.
These modifications included clarification of the definition of autosense and
how this is to function in this environment. To insure that all of Mark's
concerns were addressed, Ralph Weber moved and Curtis Stevens seconded that
the SAT editor be instructed to include 05-109r0 and the editorial comments
from the meeting into the next revision of the draft. The motion passed by
unanimous consent.

4.3 SAT - REASSIGN BLOCKS command (05-136r0) [Bellamy]

Wayne Bellamy asked that this item be deferred to the next meeting.

4.4 SAT - LOG SENSE command and SMART (05-142r0) [Bellamy]

Wayne Bellamy asked that this item be deferred to the next meeting.

4.5 SAT - Standard INQUIRY - PRODUCT REVISION LEVEL (05-137r1) [Bellamy]

Wayne Bellamy presented revision 1 of his proposal 05-137r1 that defines how the
relevant product revision information is to be derived from IDENTIFY DEVICE
information. Wayne focussed on the changes to the proposal from revision 0.
Revision 1 is the version accepted for inclusion in the draft at the last
meeting.

5. New Business

5.1 Write Same Translation (05-177r0) [Stevens] (Hatfield comments)

Curtis Stevens presented his proposal on how the WRITE SAME (10) and the WRITE
SAME (16) commands are mapped for SAT. Curtis stated that there are features
described in his proposal that reference the SCT Technical Report (DT1701).
The latest draft of this TR is available at www.t13.org. During review of the
proposal, Curtis also addressed comments from Jim Hatfield of Seagate that had
been received via the T10 reflector.

Curtis agreed to revise the proposal for consideration at the next meeting and
send a response to Jim describing how Jim's comments had been addressed.

6. Review of SAT Working Draft

Bob Sheffield led the group in a review of SAT revision 3. Several changes
were noted for inclusion in the next revision, including changing how LBA and
transfer length are mapped for all read and write commands to be less
restrictive.

7. Review of Recommendations

Mark Evans noted that the working group made the following recommendation to
the T10 plenary:
