Lana,
Thank you for your enquiry,

The SP_ReSync state machine is required to start at power on for the phy (see 5.17.1)

The SP_ReSync is required to be available at all times when the phy is in packet mode to respond to the following messages:

a) PACKET_SYNC_LOST received from the SP Receiver; or

b) Resynchronize message from the SP_PS state machine

The conditions you describe are messages that cause the SP_ReSync state machine to transition from SP_ReSync0: Start (see 5.17.2). The state transitions to:

a) SP_ReSync1:Request, if a Resynchronize message is received; or

b) SP_ReSync2:Response, if a PACKET_SYNC_LOST received.

Please let me know if you need further information on this.

Subject: [T10] [SPL-4] Query Regarding SP Resync State machine

EXTERNAL EMAIL
Hello
I have a question regarding the SP Resync State Machine. In SP_Resync state machine Spl4Rev08, Section - 5.17.2, two conditions to start the state machine are

1. To receive Resynchronize message from SPL Packet synchronization state machine or
2. To receive PacketSyncLost received message.

Question:
Should SP_Resyn state machine start
1. During Train-Rx SNW(when PacketSyncLost is received) OR
2. After Phy_Ready when SPL packet synchronization is lost?

Regards
Lana
