Hi, Curtis.
It wasn't worth interrupting the discussion for this:
Following the FINISH ZONE command (table 5):
If the ALL bit is set to zero and:
a) the zone id zone id field does not specify the lowest LBA of a write
pointer zone (see 4.3.3), then the device server shall terminate the command
with CHECK CONDITION status, with the sense key set to ILLEGAL REQUEST and
the additional sense code set to INVALID FIELD IN CDB;
...
c) the zone condition zone condition field is set to READ ONLY (see table
12) in the REPORT ZONES parameter data (see 5.5.2) for the zone specified by
the zone id zone id field, then the device server shall terminate the command
with CHECK CONDITION status, with the sense key set to DATA PROTECT and
additional sense code set to ZONE IS READ ONLY; and
d) the zone condition zone condition field is set to OFFLINE (see table
12) in the REPORT ZONES parameter data (see 5.5.2) for the zone specified by
the zone id zone id field, then the device server shall terminate the command
with CHECK CONDITION status, with the sense key set to DATA PROTECT and
additional sense code set to ZONE IS OFFLINE.
Following the OPEN ZONE command (table 6):
If the ALL bit is set to zero and:
a) the zone id zone id field does not specify the lowest LBA of a write
pointer zone (see 4.3.3), then the device server shall terminate the command
with CHECK CONDITION status, with the sense key set to ILLEGAL REQUEST and
the additional sense code set to INVALID FIELD IN CDB;
...
c) the zone condition zone condition field is set to FULL (see table 12)
in the REPORT ZONES parameter data (see 5.5.2), then the device server shall
terminate the command with CHECK CONDITION status, with the sense key set to
DATA PROTECT and additional sense code set to ZONE IS READ ONLY.
d) the zone condition zone condition field is set to READ ONLY (see table
12) in the REPORT ZONES parameter data (see 5.5.2) for the zone specified by
the zone id zone id field, then the device server shall terminate the command
with CHECK CONDITION status, with the sense key set to DATA PROTECT and
additional sense code set to ZONE IS READ ONLY; and
e) the zone condition zone condition field is set to OFFLINE (see table
12) in the REPORT ZONES parameter data (see 5.5.2) for the zone specified by
the zone id zone id field, then the device server shall terminate the command
with CHECK CONDITION status, with the sense key set to DATA PROTECT and
additional sense code set to ZONE IS OFFLINE.
