HP took an action item at the April 2nd FCP-4 conference call to determine
whether having a single bit in the FC-4 features object that would indicate
whether the port has any devices behind it that are not peripheral device
type of 00h (Direct Access Block Device).
HP would be satisfied with a single bit with that definition.
HP would prefer to see a general purpose solution where devices can store a
key/value pair in the name server but understands that such a solution is a
major undertaking and is not prepared to drive a proposal to do that at this
time.
