Gil,
There are two separate list items to clarify the processing of the two
flavors of ABTS.
Item h) attempts to abort a single Sequence with ABTS (ABTS Basic Link
Service with the Parameter field bit 0 set to one).
Item i) attempts to abort the entire Exchange with ABTS-LS (ABTS Basic Link
Service with the Parameter field bit 0 set to zero).

Aborting ELS Sequences (FC-LS Rev

Greetings,
A list included in 4.2.2 Sequence and Exchange management contains two
rules that seem to address the same condition and nearly the same actions:
h) If the Sequence Initiator attempts to abort a Sequence using ABTS and it
detects an E_D_TOV
waiting for the ACK frame in response to the ABTS, it shall abort the
Exchange using ABTSLS,
if conditions permit, and retry the original ELS with a different Exchange;
and
i) If the Sequence Initiator attempts to abort a Sequence using ABTS-LS and
it detects an
E_D_TOV waiting for the ACK frame in response to the ABTS-LS, it may retry
the original ELS
with a different Exchange.
Is there duplication here? If not already done, can someone please address
this?
Regards,
Gil
