Tim,
Discovery – configuring bit (06-097) seems to be missing a link
between discovered CONFIGURING=1 bits and:
a) configuring the routing tables of attached expander devices;
and
b) the handling of its own CONFIGURING bit.
If configuration information is ignored as is recommended in items
a, b, and c of the list, should routing tables be updated? If yes,
why should routing tables be updated with clearly inaccurate data?
If configuration information is ignored, should the self-configuring
expander's CONFIGURING bit be set to zero? If yes, why would an
expander that knows it is not fully configured set its CONFIGURING
bit to zero?
Thanks,
.Ralph
