In some discussions regarding the hybrid disc proposals, it has become
clear that some companies believe that READ commands sent to a CDROM
logical unit will always be sent to the device.

However, the Microsoft Windows OS does not allow READ commands to a
device if the read is past the end of the device's capacity (as reported
by READ CAPACITY command). Please consider that this ability to read
past the reported capacity is not possible in Microsoft Windows 2000,
Microsoft Windows XP, nor in Microsoft Windows Server 2003.

So, this may affect consideration of certain proposals for hybrid discs.
