I believe a single meeting discussing both subjects is the best way to
approach this. We already have 3 different ideas for related functions
(Trusted In/ Out command proposal 05-156, Encryption Key proposal 05-446,
and Drive Locking idea not yet in writing). I would hope the agenda would
set up requirements for these functions and the group could find a way to
satisfy all 3 needs with the same commands (with different service actions
or whatever to perform the desired functions). This direction would serve
the industry's need for standardization.

Looking at the schedule for the January meetings, I see that the Key
Management and Lock Study Groups are overlapping on Thursday afternoon
(1/12).

I am interested in both, and suspect that there may be others. I'll
bring it up in the Key Management phone call tomorrow.

I don't have enough information to suggest a specific compromise, but
would be open to working one of these SG's earlier in the week, later in
the evening or even forcing Friday as a travel day (a session on Friday
morning).
