Here is my understanding of SCSI today:

Write command sent, no status = media state unknown.
Write command sent, bad status = media state unknown (for most sense
keys).
Write command sent, good status = media state known.


Since the media state can only be known after a good status, a frame
could not have been dropped and there is no corruption problem.  What
you are asking for seems to be outside of the scope of SCSI.
