For the use to which this 128-bit number is to be put, is it of concern
that they're "...extremely likely to be different"? Sort of puts a
Clinton-esque spin on the meaning of "unique" ...
It's also too bad it makes no provision for creation of a UUID if you
happen to have an EUI-64 handy rather than the EUI-48 described (node ID).
