A proposal to clarify the signal strengths used during the DC portion
of the SPI-4 training pattern has been posted to the web site
as 00-231r0 and placed on the Parallel SCSI WG agenda. 

Basically, it asks that precomp logic not be allowed to cut-back 
the signal strength during the DC 1 and DC 0 that start the training
pattern.  Only the "strong" strength should be used for that part 
of the pattern.
