}> Bit 0 of Table 12 is made reserved.
}
} shouldn't that be made "obsolete" rather than "reserved"?

Certainly, the technical editor would replace "reserved" with
"obsolete" in this case.

}> The flag bit shall be removed from the list in the second paragraph
}> of 5.1.2. The following additional sentence shall be placed at the end
}> of that paragraph:
}>
}> "The Flag bit is obsolete in SAM-2."
}
} My first choice would be to not say anything about bit 0 in this
} paragraph -- delete FLAG from the list as you say, but do not add the new
} sentence. Leave it defined as "obsolete" in Table 12, with no other mention
} anywhere in the document.
}
} But if you are going to say something about it, don't use the name, as that
} is obsolete and every definition of it and reference to it is being removed
} (per your other changes). For example, say "Use of bit 0 is obsolete in
} SAM-2".

If one were to follow the wording used for extent reservations in
the RESERVE command, one would say something like:

Bit 0 provides an obsolete way to request interrupts between linked
commands. If Bit 0 is equal to one, device servers not implementing
the obsolete capability shall terminate the command with CHECK
CONDITION status and the sense key shall be set to ILLEGAL REQUEST.

Thanks.

Ralph...
