Yes it would be good to update in a manner that does two things adequately:

a) Accommodates a goal of having Fast 80 compliant SCSI devices operating
reliably over Fast 40 compliant installed SCSI paths (e.g. cables).

b) Provides suitable electrical characteristics to allow adequate protocol
chip designs for Fast 80 and a reasonable expectation of Fast 80 compliant
SCSI paths being used for Fast 160.

I would like to ask for a consensus on what people think about updating the
testing requirements for the cable.  Now that the speeds and frequencies
are climbing higher, the Annex D of 855 is getting a bit dated.  Many of
the contract manufacturers and even the OEM's such as yourselves are asking
many questions about testing.  Many methods are being asked for the
deviated dramatically from the Annex D.
Your thoughts, please.
