Mixed bus widths were allowed in Fast-20 after Bill Ham had done some testing.

It was recommended in one of the meetings if a narrow device is used on a wide
bus it should present the same load on the high byte as the low byte and
control bits. Bill is documenting it morein EPI.

The best solution would be to use an extender and segment of the buses with
the narrow devices.

We need to get the EPI document back on track, it has had very little work
with the major effort going to SPI-2 and LVD SCSI.
