The Device Element which is returned in the Enclosure Status Page for the
Receive Diagnostic Results command (SES rev 2.0, Section 6.2.2, Table 26,
p. 28) includes a byte defined as "Hard address setting for device."
Since SSA devices have a relative address instead of a hard address, we
propose that SSA devices be allowed to use this field to indicate physical
position.

In order to make this information useful, however, the initiator needs to
know which drive received the command. For this, the "select" bit (Byte 0
bit 7--currently reserved) seems most appropriate. It could then be defined
as follows:

Select=1 for the device element corresponding to the drive which received
         the command.
Select=0 for all other device elements.

These two minor changes provide the SSA initiator the means to determine
the physical location of the target to which it sent the Receive Diagnose
command in a similar way that FC-AL and parallel SCSI initiators can.
