X3 Announces the Second Public Comment Period for X3.232:199x,
SCSI-2 Common Access Method Transport and SCSI Interface Module

Washington, D.C., January 23, 1995 -- Accredited Standards Committee
X3, Information Technology is announcing the second public comment
period of X3.232:199x.

The comment period extends from February 3, 1995 through April 4,
1995.

This draft standard defines the CAM (Common Access Method) for SCSI
(Small Computer Systems Interface).  The purpose of this standard will be
to define a method whereby multiple environments may adopt a common
procedure for the support of SCSI devices.

This draft was originally submitted for public review from September 4,
1992 through January 3, 1993. Due to substantive changes, it is being
resubmitted.  Another call for patents and pertinent issues (copyrights,
trademarks) is also being issued.
