Welcome to the 10bit mailing list!

If you ever want to remove yourself from this mailing list, send the

Here's the general information for the list you've subscribed to, in
case you don't already have it:

          *************************************
          >> Welcome to the 10bit Reflector! <<
          *************************************

This is an open-to-public forum for those who interested in ANSI X3T11
Fibre Channel (FC) activities specifically related to a 10-bit
interface between FC-0 transceiver devices and higher-level FC protocol
devices. There are on-line open discussions related specifically to
this topic. Discussions of general FC topics should be conducted on
reflectors that already exist for that purpose.

The service is free to all participants, courtesy of Western Digital
Corporation.

Please observe the following simple rules:

- This reflector is intended only for the discussion of this topic and
is open to all participants. General FC topics should be conducted
elsewhere. Product announcements are discouraged, except as examples or
proposals. Please don't contribute to E-Mail clutter with duplicate or
  redundant messages.

- The reflector is not intended to be used for job search or recruitment
activity, or to promote products or services that are not directly related
  to FC 10-bit designs.

- Messages over 20KBytes will be bounced back to you.
Please contact 10bit-Owner at dt.wdc.com to arrange for download
to our ftp area (fission.dt.wdc.com /pub/standards/fc)

- If the messages bounced back from your address more than three
times and you did not respond to the warning, your name may be
  deleted from the list.

- You too can post to the reflector by sending e-mail to:

	10bit at dt.wdc.com

- For information about 10-bit interface activities, contact
  10bit-Owner at dt.wdc.com.

- Should you decided you no longer want to subscribe, please delete
your name from list by sending to Majordomo at dt.wdc.com:

	unsubscribe 10bit <your_internet_address>

Any comments, please forward to: 10bit-Owner at dt.wdc.com

Useful stuff to know
--------------------

*** Subscribing To The Reflector:

The reflector is managed by the automated software package Majordomo which
is capable of automatically responding to a wide range of user requests
such as adding yourself or deleting yourself from a reflector list.

	subscribe <list> [<your internet address>]
	unsubscribe <list> [<your internet address>]

Examples:

	subscribe 10bit joeblow at a1.wdc.com
	unsubscribe 10bit joeblow at dt.wdc.com
	info 10bit	{retrieve this message}
	help		{retrieve list of Majordomo commands}

To obtain a list of the commands Majordomo understands, send an E-mail to
"Majordomo at dt.wdc.com" with the word "help" in the body of the E-Mail.

Majordomo does not scan the subject line so make sure you place your
commands in the body of the e-mail.

Since Majordomo handles several different lists make sure you include the
<list> when you subscribe and unsubscribe.

Helpful hint: if the list name has "wdc" as the leading characters
(like "wdcscsi"), that is a closed WD reflector and you will not be
able to join! So don't bother trying!-)

Please remember that Majordomo is an off the shelf program with only the
commands you see when you ask for"help" available.
