X3 Announces the Public Comment Period of X3.273:199x, CASE Tool 
Integration Messages

Washington, D.C. , December 23, 1994 -- Accredited Standards Committee 
X3, Information Technology is announcing the public comment period of 
X3.273:199x.

The comment period extends from January 20, 1995 through March 21, 
1995.

This draft standard includes an abstract interface to services used by CASE 
tools.  This interface will insulate a tool that uses a service from the 
provider of the service focusing on mesage semantics, message sequencing, 
defining specific messages with their abstract paramenters, and messages 
for Computer Adied Software Engineering domain.

A call for patents and pertinent issues (copyrights, trademarks) is now 
being issued by the X3 Secretariat.
