No, you are not missing something obvious. Flushing all queued commands gets
pretty messy in a multi-initiator environment, although it works OK in a single
initiator environment (which I am sure it was originally intended for). SCSI
doesn't "require" multiple initiator co-operation, but it doesn't guarantee
they won't mess each other up either.
