Harbor

This page contains data on the Harbor project. This project defines a common 'wrapper' for peripheral devices. Wrappers go around devices to permit them to be plugged into an envelope in an enclosure. Wrappers provide mechanical support, vibration/shock damping, hot plugging, etc.

This project is open to all interested parties.

A special email list called the Harbor Reflector is being set up to facilitate this project. Information about joining this reflector will be posted here as soon as it is set up.

This project was initially supported by the SCSI Trade Association. On a close vote in May 2000, STA decided to not continue promoting the SCSI Harbor project. This project most likely will be moved to either the SFF Committee or the T10 Techncial Committee.
