The model has three levels of queuing. To distinguish between SCSI bus sequence and what happens within the disk drive. He outlined the characteristics of each level. Two open issues related to processing QUEUE FULL and CHECK CONDITION status for level 1. 2) Steve Cornaby talked about his proposed queue model. He wants to introduce a "thread" concept which would add a thread message to the nexus. See document 91-160. Export sequencing to drive but OS maintains control. Restrictions exist within thread, but no restrictions between threads. 3) Doug Hagerman presented the IPI information on how the host finds out about the drives resources. He suggested that this issue be tabled until the SCSI-3 queue is better defined. 4) Dal will ask for information from the IPI committee on how they handle the various aspects of queuing.
