Your Request for Interpretation (#3) on X3.131-1990, Small Computer System 
Interface (SCSI-2), concerning exception handling during logging operations 
has been considered by Task Group X3T9.2 and by Technical Committee 
X3T9.  

X3T9.2/90-120 Rev 3 has been prepared by X3T9.2 and approved by X3T9 as the 
response to your Request for Interpretation (X3T9.2/90-111 Rev 1).  This 
response was prepared by analysis of the SCSI-2 content and by interpolation 
and/or extrapolation.  This response is considered a "Class C" response per 
the X3 rules and as such it must be approved by X3.  If approved, a Technical 
Information Bulletin will be issued based on this response.  I will notify you 
regarding the outcome of the X3 vote.
