Dear Gene,

You have outdone yourself!  Your 468 comments (9 numbers were skipped) 
represent a very thorough review of a complex document.  I appreciate your 
effort and I am sure your comments have resulted in an improved SCSI-2 
document.

While I would like to give a comment-by-comment review of what was done to 
address your comments, I have not found enough time to both edit the document 
and prepare such a review.  In lieu of a review, I am sending you an advance 
copy of SCSI-2 Rev 9.  I am also including a copy of the Wichita working group 
minutes which addresses many of your comments.

Because of the mailing deadline, this copy of SCSI-2 Rev 9 does not highlight 
the change information.  Larry is planning to prepare another copy of Rev 9 
with the change information -- I will send you a copy of this when it is 
ready.

It was unfortunate that you were unable to attend the working group meeting.  
It seems likely some of your comments were misunderstood and consequently we 
either rejected the comment or fixed the document in a less than optimal way.  
It is also quite possible, given the large task, that the editors simply 
failed to include a change that the group intended to make.  Please help us 
find these errors.
