March 1, 1987 X3T9.2/88-028 To: X3T9.2 Committee (SCSI) From: James McGrath (Quantum) Subject: Proposed wording for new Unit Attention Conditions This note is in responce to 88-026r0. I just want to make some additions/modifications to the list of conditions that generate a Unit Attention condition: Instead of the note on INQUIRY command, the following should be used: new information is available for the READ CAPACITY, INQUIRY, MODE SENSE, or ACCESS LOG commands That is, when the disk comes up to speed, and of the above command may be affected by new information. In addition to noting when new code has been loaded, the following should be noted: a CHANGE DEFINITION command has been executed (or the operating definition self modified by the target, including loading code from the disk)
