The following two changes need to be made to make SAS2
consistent related to the elasticity buffer fix in SAS2r14g:
1) In 6.9.2 the following paragraph needs to be modified:
When the SP_DWS receiver receives a
Sync Acquired message, it shall send the most recently received primitive and
all subsequent dwords to the link layer state machine receivers (e.g., SL_IR,
SL, SSP, SMP, and XL) as Dword Received confirmations. If multiplexing is
enabled (see table 103 in 6.7.4.2.3.3), then the SP_DWS receiver shall use the
first incoming MUX primitive to determine the logical phy to which it sends each
Dword Received confirmation and shall not send an Dword Received confirmations
until it receives the first incoming MUX primitive.
The first sentence needs to be
modified to read:
After a Start SL_IR Receiver confirmation
and before a Phy Layer Not Ready confirmation from the SP state machine, when the
SP_DWS receiver receives a Sync Acquired message, it shall send the most
recently received primitive and all subsequent dwords to the link layer state
machine receivers (e.g., SL_IR, SL, SSP, SMP, and XL) as Dword Received
confirmations.
2) In 6.9.6.1 the following
paragraph in the SP_DWS3: SyncAcquired state needs to be modified:
Upon entry into this state, the phy
shall send a Sync Acquired message to the SP_DWS receiver and the SP receiver.
The most recently received primitive and all subsequent dwords shall be
forwarded for processing by the link layer.
The last sentence needs to be
modified to read:
After a Start SL_IR Receiver confirmation
and before a Phy Layer Not Ready confirmation from the SP state machine, the most
recently received primitive and all subsequent dwords shall be forwarded for processing
by the link layer.
